How many movers do I need for my move?

This depends on the size of your move. Your moving crew will consist of 2-5 or even more crew members! For a one-bedroom apartment, a 3-man crew is the most common. To make it work better for you we will need to get as many details as possible (size of your move, any specific items, number of locations, and any other helpful details), fill out the form here and we'll provide you with a free estimate. You can also call us at (332) 322-5228

How accurate is the moving estimate?

Here comes the teamwork. Our team of experienced estimators will do their best to estimate the time and advise the number of crew members along with providing the price quote. However, we need you to provide us with all the necessary details to make your quote accurate. Here’s what we’ll need to know: the size of your move (ex: one-bedroom), the number of locations we need to visit (maybe we need to pick up or drop something off in the storage); the number of boxes; the number of flights of stairs on each location; if there is an elevator in your building or not; if you have any heavy items, if we need to pack and unpack everything. Don’t worry, our estimators will ask you all the necessary questions. All we need from you is to trust us as your partner for your move (and it starts from the estimate!). Please keep in mind that we’ll tolerate a 5% discrepancy in the estimate. Here’s an example: We have an inventory list based on the estimate that says our crew must take 25 boxes from the garage. When the crew comes to the pick-up location, they see they have to take 25 boxes from the garage. We will take care of these extra 5 boxes not changing the quote. However, if our crew will have 5 additional boxes in the other room (or there will be other rooms we didn’t know about), we’ll have to adjust the original quote. This is why we call this teamwork: we need you and us to work together to get a perfect estimate!

What are your serving areas?

We serve all five boroughs; Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island, as well as New Jersey.

What if I have more items than what was quoted?

As soon as you know your inventory is larger or if you decided to add one more stop, please call us with your booking number and we will be able to update your quote reflecting the requested changes. Keep in mind, that last-moment requests that add significant volume to your already scheduled move, should be communicated before the arrival of your moving crew so we can come prepared and plan everything accordingly. If our crew arrives and finds that the inventory list is larger than in the quote, here’s what we do: we tolerate 5% of the discrepancy and have to adjust the quote if there are more items (or rooms/locations) that we weren’t aware of.

What if I’d like to cancel my move?

If you, for any reason, need to cancel your reservation, give us a 48-hour notice, so we can keep our trucks busy.

Who should I call during the move if any problems arise?

How will the movers know what to take and what to leave?

Our moving crew will come with the bill of lading along with your moving quote details/inventory list on hand. However, before we start packing and moving, our moving team foreman will ask you to show around your space, confirm3 with you all the details, and ask if there are any items that you are leaving behind.

How far ahead should I plan and book my move?

We recommend getting quotes 3-4 weeks prior to your move and booking 2-4 weeks ahead. This will help your moving team plan and organize everything accordingly, Additionally, you'll also have time to better prepare for your move.
